Baldwin-Wallace College Women's Soccer Team Fell, 1-0, to Marietta College

BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin-Wallace College women’s soccer team fell, 1-0, to Ohio Athletic Conference-rival Marietta College on Saturday (October 14, 2006) at Marietta Field in Marietta.

With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 9-5 overall and 3-2 in the OAC.  With the win the Pioneers improve to 6-4-5 overall and 2-1-2 in the OAC.

At the 42:01 mark Marietta's Allison Williams found the back of the net for the lone goal of the day. The Yellow Jackets outshot Marietta, 12-7, and outcornered them, 6-1.

Junior 2005 OAC Goalkeeper of the Year  Michelle Neff (Strongsville) played all 90 minutes in goal for the Yellow Jackets and collected four saves as she faced seven shots.

The Yellow Jacket women will be back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 17 when they travel to Westeville to play nationally-ranked Otterbein College at 4:00 p.m.
