BEREA, OHIO — The Baldwin-Wallace College women’s soccer team defeated Defiance College, 3-0, today (Sept. 23) in Berea.
With the win, the Yellow Jacket women are now 5-3 overall. With its loss, Defiance falls to 3-5-1 overall.
B-W was the first to score when senior forward Jenny Miller (North Ridgeville) found the goal off of a free kick from 20-yards out at the 13:50 mark. The score at halftime was 1-0. In the second half, senior midfielder Kristi Michaels (Aurora) expanded B-W’s lead with a goal at the 64-minute mark. The goal was assisted by freshman forward Courtney Brown (Canton/St. Thomas Aquinas). At the 80-minute mark, B-W finished the scoring for the evening when Brown found the back of the net to make the score 3-0.
The next Yellow Jacket women's soccer game is on Tuesday, Sept. 26 when they host Grove City (Pa.) College in The George Finnie Stadium. Kickoff for the match is at 7:00 p.m.
