BRIGITTE PETRASH NOTES: 2011 NOTES: Baldwin-Wallace College forward Brigitte Petrash ended her junior season playing in all 20 games and earning 3 starts. She scored 3 goals this season, including the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory against Penn State Behrend in the season-opener. She also tallied 1 assist for a total of 7 points on the year. 2010 NOTES: Bridgette earned her second varsity letter, appearing in all 21 games as a sophomore and earning 16 starts. She scored her first career goal on Sept. 1 at Alma (Mich.) 2009 NOTES: As a freshman, Brigitte played in 14 games and earned 13 starts. She tallied her first career assist against Mount Union on Oct. 3 and earned her first varsity letter this season. OTHER B-W NOTES AND INFORMATION: Currently, Brigitte is studying Secondary Math Education and is looking to pursue a career as a high school math teacher. She is a Dean's List student, carrying a 3.56 grade-point average. As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Brigitte was honored with the 2011 Lubrizol Foundation Mathematics Award for her efforts in the classroom. HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: At Parma Normandy High School, Brigitte played four years of soccer and two years of basketball. She earned varsity letters for all four years of soccer and did not letter for basketball. As a sophomore in soccer in 2006, Brigitte was honorable mention All-Greater Cleveland. As a junior in 2007, she was All-Northeast Ohio Conference. As a senior, she was team captain, team MVP and first team All-NOC. She finished her high school soccer career with 24 goals and 14 assists. Brigitte was in the National Honor Society, an All-Ohio Student Council member, participated in the Ohio Summer Honors Institute and graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors. |
