ELIZABETH HELSER NOTES: 2011 NOTES: As a sophomore, Baldwin-Wallace College defender Liz Helser started all 20 games in the 2011-12 season. She helped B-W to compile a 11-9 overall and 4-5 Ohio Athletic Conference record earning them an OAC Playoff berth. She finished the season with 5 total points with 2 goals and 1 assist. Liz was named to the NCAA Division III Women's All-Ohio Third Team and earned her second straight second-team All-OAC honor. This was her first NCAA accolade. 2010 NOTES: As a freshman in 2010-11, Liz played her first season of soccer and earned her first varsity letter. She helped B-W to compile a 7-10-4 overall and 2-3-4 Ohio Athletic Conference record en route to a spot in the OAC Playoffs. She played in and started all 21 matches. Liz earned second-team All-OAC and third-team OCSA (Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association) All-Ohio honors. OTHER B-W NOTES AND INFORMATION: Liz is studying Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She would like to pursue a career as a teacher and a coach. HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Liz attended two high schools which were Bishop Luers High School (Ind.) as a freshman and sophomore, and Canterbury High School (Ind.) as a junior and senior. Liz played four years of soccer and earned four varsity letters. She also earned two letters in swimming. As a freshman in 2006, Liz was the Player of the Month once, was named Rookie of the Year, All-Conference, and ICGSA All-State Honorable Mention. As a junior in 2008, she was Academic All-State and was named Defensive Player of the Year. In 2009, as a senior, Liz was team captain, and named to the All-District Showcase Team, First Team High School College Combine All-Star, and was an Indiana senior All-Star Selection. Liz was on the Principle's Honor List, Academic All State Team, and was named ISSMA All-State, and Key Club Volunteer of the Year. She also recieved the President's Physical Fitness and named a Canterbury Senior Leader. Liz played in and started every varsity game of her high school career, totaling 73. She had 60 shots, seven goals, and 45 assists for 59 total points. |
