Baldwin Wallace’s Stephanie Geiger Named to NSCAA Great Lakes All-Region Team
BEREA, OHIO – Baldwin Wallace University junior defender Stephanie Geiger (Berea) has been named to the 2008 NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) All-Great Lakes Region team announced today (Tuesday, December 9, 2008). She was tabbed as a third-team selection.
Geiger, also a two-time first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference pick (2007 and 2008), scored two game-winners this season and helped lead the Yellow Jacket defense to post five shutouts and a 1.07 goals-against-average. Offensively, she totaled five points on two goals and an assist. Geiger was also named a 2008 third-team ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV honoree earlier this fall.
The Yellow Jacket women finished the season with a 7-9-3 overall record and qualified for the OAC Tournament.
