BEREA, OHIO--The Baldwin-Wallace wrestlers began 2004 with a victory in a dual match at Wilmington College in a dual match on Tuesday, Jan 20.
With the 22-12 victory the Jackets improve their record to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the OAC. Wilmington falls to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the OAC.
Leading the team were sophomore heavyweight Bryan Kmetz (Brunswick) with a decision over Bryan Kennedy, sophomore Jared Selover (Wapakoneta) with a score of 6-2 in the 133 pound match, and sophomore Mike Munroe (Wakeman, Western Reserve) with a pin in the second period of his 149 pound match. Also aiding the Jacket's victory were senior Joe Heiland (Shelby) with a score of 7-3 in the 165 pound match and sophomore T. Terry (Bedford, St. Peter Chanel) with a win in the 174 pound match.
On the season Kmetz improves his record to 16-2, Selover improved his record to 11-4, Munroe to 1-5, Heiland to 16-4 and Terry to 1-7.
The B-W wrestlers will be back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 27 when they travel to New Concord, Ohio to take on Muskingum College.
