B-W: Baldwin-Wallace College Wrestling Team Falls To Thiel (Pa.) College, 21-17

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team lost to nonleague foe Thiel College, 21-17, today (Saturday, January 20, 2007) in Greenville, Pennsylvania.

With the loss, the Yellow Jackets drop to 10-10 overall and Thiel (Pa.) improves to 3-4 overall. B-W is now idle until January 30 when they travel to Wilmington College for an Ohio Athletic Conference dual match against the Quakers.

Despite the loss, four Yellow Jackets earned individual victories. Junior 174-pounder Jeremy Feador (North Olmsted) pinned Bo Morrell in 1:54, sophomore 197-pounder Paul Burger (Mentor) won by a 15-0 technical fall over Logan Malie, sophomore 149-pounder Mohamed Salem (Westlake) defeated Anthony Prvonozac with a 9-3 decision and senior 285-pounder Bryan Kmetz (Brunswick) won by a score of 3-1 over Kyle Brown. With his victory, Kmetz is now 7-0 overall with five pins.

Two exhibition matches, freshman 197-pounder Arlon Brister (Pepper Pike/ Orange) defeated McClure in a 12-2 major decision and junior 285-pounder Mike Pelton (Parma/ Valley Forge) defeated Berry in a 2-1 decision.

The Yellow Jackets will return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 30 when they travel to Wilmington, Ohio to take on OAC rival Wilmington College, match starting at 7:30 p.m.
