Jacket Wrestlers Take Fifth at the Rochester Institute of Technology Tournament

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace College wrestlers took fifth of 17teams at the Rochester Institute of Technology Tournament on Saturday Dec. 6 in Rochester New York.

 Sophomore Jared Selover (Wapakoneta) was crowned champion at the 125 pound weight class. He was 4-0 in the tournament, winning the championship bout 6-4. Sophomore Devin Carman (Geneva) took the 197 pound championship over Nick Calandrino of Ithaca with a score of 14-9. Sophomore  Brian Kmetz (Brunswick) went 4-0 to claim the heavyweight title over Derek Ankney of John Carroll with a score of 8-6. Also aiding the Jackets was junior Joe Heiland (Shelby) who placed fourth in the 165 pound weight class.

The Yellow Jackets wrestlers will travel to Ada, Ohio for the Ohio Northern Tournament on Saturday Dec. 13 at 9:30 a.m.
