College on the Final Day of the Division III National Duals at Lycoming
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team lost its only match of the day, 36-9, to Rhode Island College today (Saturay, January 15, 2005) in a challenge match at the 20-team Budd Whitehall Division III National Dual Match Championships at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The Yellow Jackets lost all three of its matches yesterday.
With its loss, B-W fell to 4-10 overall.
Despite the loss, junior 157-pounder Steve Vaughn (Parma, Normandy) won by a decision, 7-1 over Colin Smith. Also recording a win for the Yellow Jackets was T. Terry (Bedford, St. Peter Chanel), who won by a 3-2 decision over Kevin Davis, and Sterling Sebek (Columbus Ga./Brookstone) won by a 8-7 decision against Damien Hebert.
Next week, the Yellow Jackets travel to Cleveland State University and will be one of eight NCAA Division III schools who will participate at the NCAA National Duals at the Cleveland State Convocation Center. Action begins at 9:00 a.m.
