BEREA, OHIO--The Baldwin-Wallace wrestling team fell to cross-town rival John Carroll University, 34-10, in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual match on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at the Ursprung Gymnasium.
With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fell to 6-4 overall and 3-1 in the OAC. John Carroll improves to 9-6 overall and 3-1 in the OAC.
Putting in a good effort for the Jackets was senior Sayre Wuhr (Hudson) who pinned Lou Vitullo in the first period of his 141-pound match with 56 seconds to go. Sophomore Jared Selover (Wapakoneta) won his 133-pound match with a major decision of 9-0 over Matt Simmons of John Carroll.
The B-W wrestlers will be in action again on Saturday Feb. 7, when they host the John Summa Memorial Tournament starting at 10 a.m.
