BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team dropped a match tonight (Jan. 16), against John Carroll, 20-14, in University Heights, Ohio.
With the loss, the Yellow Jackets drop to 10-9 overall and 2-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference and the Blue Streaks improve to 7-3-1 overall and 3-0 in the OAC.
Despite the loss the Yellow Jackets had victories by sophomore 149-pounder Mohamed Salem (Westlake) with a 8-7 decision over Daniel Mizener, sophomore 157-pounder Joseph Incorvaia (Medina/ Highland) with a 5-0 win over Steven Branch, junior 165-pounder Gino Russo (Northfield Center/ Nordonia) with a major decision over Devon Jurczak with a score of 17-4 and senior 285-pounder Bryan Kmetz (Brunswick) earned a major decision over Tim Lambert with a score of 9-0.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 20 when they travel to Thiel (Pa.) College, match starting at 12:00 p.m.
