Baldwin-Wallace College Wrestlers Beat Wilmington, 33-12

BEREA, OHIO -- The 18th-ranked Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference tonight with a 33-12 victory against Wilmington College at the Ursprung Gymnasium in Berea.

heiland_head.jpgHighlighting the match for B-W was junior 165-pounder Joe Heiland (Shelby) who pinned Jeff Wnendrel in 2:41. Also recording falls for the Yellow Jackets were freshman 125-pounder Jared Selover (Wapakoneta) and senior heavyweight Greg Hartlaub (Avon Lake). Selover pinned Dan Garcia in 3:44 and Hartlaub pinned Brian Kennedy in 5:34. In addition, junior 141-pounder Sayre Wuhr (Hudson) defeated Kenton Smith, 10-4, freshman Devin Cartman (Ashtabula/Geneva H.S.) defeated Dan Heckendorn, 6-4 and freshman T. Terry (Bedford/St. Peter Chanel H.S.) defeated Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week, Corey Norvell, 5-3.

hartlaub_action.jpgThe Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, January10-11, when they travel to Williamsport, Pennsylvania and Lycoming College to compete in the 2003 Division III National Dual Match Championships.
