Baldwin Wallace Wrestling Team Falls To Division II Lake Erie in Painesville
PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team lost 44-5 today (Saturday, January 14, 2012) to host and NCAA Division II Lake Erie College in a dual match.
The Yellow Jackets are now 1-2 overall and next competes on Tuesday, Jan. 17 when it hosts Ohio Athletic Conference and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University at 7:30 p.m. in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasim in the Lou Higgins Center in Berea. With its win, Lake Erie is now 6-5 overall.
The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman 141-pounder Nick Ramsey (Cleveland/Lakewood) who won with a tech fall over Kevin Brunner by a score of 17-2. Ramsey is now 4-3 on the season.
Following its match versus JCU, BW will then travel to Alma, Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 21 to compete at the Alma College Open Tournament at 9:00 a.m..
