Baldwin-Wallace Wrestling Team Falls To Cross-Town Rival John Carroll

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team drops an Ohio Athletic Conference dual match tonight (Tuesday, January 17, 2012) to Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University by a final score of 35-10.
The Yellow Jackets are now 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the OAC while the Blue Streaks snap a two match losing streak to B-W and improve to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the OAC.
In addition to Ramsey, sophomore 133-pounder Andrew Taylor (Columbus/ Worthington/Kilbourne) won by a decision, 8-2. Taylor leads the team in victories with a record of 11-10 overall and is now 1-1 in OAC matches. Sophomore 285-pounder Addison Carbone (Hudson) won by decision, 5-4, to pick up his first career victory. Carbone is now 1-6 overall and 1-1 in the OAC since joining the team after football season.
B-W is back in action this Saturday, January 21 when it will travel to Alma, Michigan to take part in the Alma College Open Tournament at 9:00 a.m. The next home event is on Saturday, February 4 when the team will host the 26th Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament in the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse at 10:00 a.m.
