Ohio Northern Wrestlers Defeat Baldwin-Wallace College, 37-8, in Berea

BEREA, OHIO -- The Ohio Northern wrestling team defeated Baldwin-Wallace College, 37-8, tonight (Tuesday, January 27, 2009) in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual match in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center in Berea.

With their win, the Polar Bears improve to 10-11 overall and 3-1 in the OAC.  With its loss, The Yellow Jackets are now 2-19 overall and 0-5 in the OAC.

Individually for the Yellow Jackets, senior 165-pounder Joe Incorvaia (Medina/ Highland) scored a 2-0 victory over freshman Billy Painter.  Incorvaia improved to 16-11 overall and 3-2 in OAC dual meets.  Sophomore 174-pounder Andrew Scavuzzo (Cuyahoga Falls/ Woodridge) improved to 18-8 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the OAC with a 16-1 technical fall against Collin Swick with 1:14 left in the third period.

The Yellow Jacket wrestlers are back in action next Tuesday, February 3 when they travel to University Heights to compete against OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University in the Don Shula Sports Center at 7:30 p.m.

In addition, the B-W versus JCU match will be taped and shown on a delayed basis by SportsTime Ohio (www.sportstimeohio.com) at 12:00 noon and at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4 and at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5.
