BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference rival Wilmington College,36-15, tonight (Thursday, February 14, 2008) during Seniors' Night in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in Berea.
With the win, the Yellow Jackets improve to 7-18-1 overall and 2-5 in the OAC while the Quakers fall to 3-11 overall and 1-5 in the OAC.
The Yellow Jackets started out with a 24-0 advantage earning forfeit wins by 125-pounder freshman Tyler Erwin (Granville/Watkins Memorial), 133-pounder junior Brian Bucher (Ottawa Hills/Avon Lake), 141-pounder sophmore Eric Schubert (Oberlin), and 174-pounder senior Jeremy Feador (North Olmsted). Then senior 149-pounder RayShawn Eatmon (East Cleveland/Shaw) pinned his opponent in 6:01 and both junior 157-pounder Joe Incorvaia (Medina/Highland) and senior 197-pounder Brian Haines (Amanda/Teays Valley) each won 3-2 decisions.
B-W wrestlers will next compete at the OAC Championship Tournament hosted by John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 10:00 a.m.
