B-W Wrestlers Defeat Muskingum College, 39-4, to Improve to 4-3-1 Overall
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference rival Muskingum College, 39-4, tonight (Tuesday, November 27, 2007) at the Muskingum College Recreation Center in New Concord. With its win, B-W is now 4-3-1 overall and 1-0 in the OAC. Muskingum fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the OAC.
B-W won nine of 10 matches. Individually for the Yellow Jackets, junior 133-pounder Brian Bucher (Ottawa/ Avon Lake) won by a technical fall (17-0), freshman Cody Connell (Twinsburg) won by decision (4-0), senior 141-pounder Scott Haber (Brook Park/ Parma Normandy) won by major decision (9-1), junior 157-pounder Joe Incorvaia (Medina Highland) won by decision (4-0), senior 165-pound All-American Gino Russo (Northfield Center/ Macedonia Nordonia) won by decision (10-4), senior 174-pounder Jeremy Feador (North Olmsted) pinned his opponent (0:53), freshman 184-pounder Andrew Scavuzzo (Cuyahoga Falls/ Woodridge) won by decision (2-0), senior 197-pounder Antonio Campea (Hinckley/ Parma Padua) won by forfeit and senior 295-pounder Mike Pelton (Parma/ Valley Forge) pinned his opponent (4:22).
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action this Saturday, December 1 when they travel to Rochester, New York to compete at the Rochester Institute of Technology Tournament at 9:00 a.m.
