BEREA, OHIO —  The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team fell, 20-118 to Ohio Athletic Conference rival Mount Union College tonight (Tuesday, January 15, 2008) in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in Berea.

 

With its victory, Mt. Union improves to 1-9 overall and 1-1 in the OAC.  With its loss, B-W falls to to 5-16-1 overall and 1-2 in the OAC and next wrestles this Saturday, Jan. 19 when it hosts Thiel (Pa.) College at 7:00 p.m. in the Ursprung Gym.

 

Despite the loss, four Yellow Jackets earned wins.  Junior 133-pounder Brian Bucher (Ottawa/ Avon Lake) won by a 5-2 decision, junior 157-pounder Joe Incorvaia (Medina/Highland)  won a 5-0 decision, senior 174-pounder Jeremy Feador (North Olmstead) earned a pin in 4:24, and senior 285-pounder Mike Pelton (Valley Forge) pinned his opponent in 5:06.   With their wins, Bucher improved to 17-5 overall, Incorvaia improved to 9-11 overall, Feador improved to 12-9 overall and Pelton improved to 2-16 overall

 

Following its match this Saturday versus Thiel, B-W travels to Ada, Ohio to face OAC rival Ohio Northern University next Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 7:30 p.m. Then, on Tuesday, Jan. 29, B-W hosts OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University at 7:30 p.m. B-W fans also are reminded that the 22nd Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament is on Saturday, February 2 and begins at 10:00 a.m.
