Baldwin-Wallace Wrestler Fall, 30-6, to OAC and Cross-Town Rival John Carroll in Berea
BEREA, OHIO — The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team fell, 30-6, to Ohio Athletic Conference and Greater Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University tonight (Tuesday, January 29, 2008) in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in Berea.
With its victory, John Carroll improves to 7-6 overall and 3-1 in the OAC. With its loss, B-W falls to to 6-18-1 overall and 1-4 in the OAC.
Despite the loss, two Yellow Jackets earned wins. Senior 157-pounder Joe Incorvaia (Medina/Highland) won a 3-0 decision over Kevin Keough to improve his season record 11-12 overall and senior 197-pounder Chris Haines (Amdanda/Teays Valley) earned a 6-0 decision over Scott Marhofer to improve to 9-11 overall for the season.
B-W returns to action when host the 22nd Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 2. The tournament gets underway at 10:00 a.m. in the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.
