The Yellow Jackets fell, 21-19, to Lakeland (Wis.) College in its first match, 40-9, to Luther in its second match and 30-14, to Roger Williams (R.I.) University in its third match.  B-W is now 4-7-1 this season.

 

In its opening match, a 21-19 lost to Lakeland, B-W received a pin in 1:44 from senior Jeremy Feador (North Olmsted) at 174 pounds and a 16-6 major decision win from senior 165-pounder Gino Russo (Northfield Center/Nordonia).  Also picking up wins by-decisions was freshman 141-pounder Cody Connell (Twinsburg), junior 149-pounder Mo Salem (Westlake) and freshman 184-pounder Andrew Scavuzzo (Cuyahoga Falls/Woodridge).

 

Against Luther, the Yellow Jackets lost 40-9.  Russo pinned his opponent in 2:03 at 165 pounds and junior 133-pounder Brian Bucher (Ottawa Hills/Avon Lake) recorded a 10-4 decision.

 

Against Roger Williams, B-W was defeated by the score of 30-14.  Bucher scored first for B-W with a 21-14 technical win at 133 pounds, then Russo recorded a 20-5 technical fall and Feador won by a 8-0 major decision at 174 pounds.

There were exhibition matches, but those results are incomplete at this time, but will be posted when they become available.

 

The Yellow Jacket wrestlers will be back on Thursday, January 3, 2008 when they travel to Wilkes (Pa.) University for the John Reese Duals.  The duals will begin at 11:00 a.m. in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
