BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference rival Muskingum College, 47-6, tonight (Tuesday, February 6, 2007) during senior's night in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in The Lou Higgins Center in Berea.
With the win, the Yellow Jackets improve to 12-10 overall and 4-2 in the OAC while the Muskies fall to 4-13 overall and 1-5 in the OAC.
Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets were junior 174-pounder Jeremy Feador (North Olmsted) and sophomore 184-pounder Antonio Campea (Hinckley/ Parma Padua). Feador pinned Aaron Gramann in 1:36 and Campea pinned Ralph Geesey in 2:02. Also earning wins for the night were sophomore 141-pounder Brian Bucher (Toldeo/ Avon Lake) win a 14-6 major decision over Dave Minner, junior 149-pounder Mo Salem (Westlake) with a 12-11 defeat over Brad Tanzillo, junior 165-pounder Gino Russo (Northfield Center/ Nordonia) with a 17-2 technical fall over A.J. Komaromy in the third period and sophomore 197-pounder Paul Burger (Menotr) earned a 22-6 technical fall over Cody Hopper in the second period. Receiving forfeits for the night included 125-pounder Eric Schubert (Wapakoneta), senior 133-pounder Jared Selover (Wapakoneta) and senior 285-pounder Bryan Kmetz (Brunswick).
In the sole exhibition match of the night 184-pounder Bryan Haines (Amanda/ Teays Valley) earned a 15-0 technical fall over T.J. Brown in the second period of the match.
B-W wrestlers will next compete at the OAC Championship Tournament hosted by Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 10:00 a.m.
