Yellow Jacket Wrestlers Lose to Thiel (Pa.) College, 25-13, at the Ursprung Gymnasium in Berea

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team was defeated by non-conference opponent Thiel (Pa.) College, 25-13, tonight at the Ursprung Gymnasium in the Lou Higgins Center.

With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 6-13 overall in dual matches, while Thiel (Pa.) improves to 6-4 overall

Despite the loss, sophomore Chris Hamed (Stow/ Woodridge) won his 133-pound match by defeating Ben Melling, 11-6.  Freshman 149-pounder Muhamed Salem (Westlake) won by major decision, 11-1, against Thiel's Anthony Provonozac.  Rounding the B-W winners was junior 197-pounder Devin Carman (Ashtabula/ Geneva) who pinned Josh Patton in a time of 4:13.

B-W will next be in action on Tuesday, Jan. 24 when it hosts Wilmington College in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual match against the Quakers on senior's night.  Action begins at 7:30 p.m.
