Men's Basketball

Capital sophomore point guard David Johnson (Cincinnati/Roger Bacon) shot over 73% from three-point range in three games last week, connecting on a school record seven three-pointers against Wilmington. Johnson was 17-of-28 (.607) from the field, including 11-of-15 from behind the arc. He scored 50 points, had five rebounds, five assists and five steals on the week. Johnson was also 5-of-6 (.833) from the free-throw line.

John Carroll sophomore post Brandon Mimes (Euclid) led JCU with 20 points and nine rebounds in an overtime win against Mount Union and tallied a career-high 27 points to go along with a game-high 11 rebounds in the Streaks' win against Marietta. In two game, Mimes tallied 47 points, 20 rebounds, six steals, two blocks and three assists.

Women's Basketball

Marietta senior post Rebecca Tokodi (Marietta/Parkersburg Catholic, WV) averaged 18.5 points 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots in two Pioneer wins last week. Tokodi scored a career-high 24 markers and pulled down 10 rebounds against JCU for her first double-double of the year. Tokodi was 15-of-27 (.556) from the field in two games.

Wrestling

Ohio Northern junior 197-pounder Chris Bailey (Chagrin Falls/Walsh Jesuit) recorded a technical fall at the 5:28 mark against Mout Union's Luke Latham. Bailey tallied four takedowns, a reversal and six nearfall points in the win.

Wilmington freshman 125-pounder David Bowers (Greenfield/Miami Trace) recorded a fall at the 6:14 mark against Heidelberg's Nick Rossiter. Bowers improved to 13-2 overall and 3-0 in the OAC.

Men's Swimming

Baldwin-Wallace sophomore Luke Grilli (Londonderry, NH) won the 200 freestyle (1:51.43), the 100 backstroke (57.30 seconds) and was on the winning 200 free relay squad (1:31.95) in B-W's win against Washington & Jefferson.

John Carroll senior Matt Dorsch (Royal Oak, MI/Univ. of Detroit Jesuit) captured four individual titles last weekend, winning the 200 and 500 freestyle events against both Hiram and Oberlin. Against Hiram, Dorsch swam a 1:47.49 mark in the 200 and a 5:01.53 time in the 500 free. Versus Oberlin, Dorsch won the 200 in 1:48.81 and the 500 in 5:13.88.

Women's Swimming

Baldwin-Wallace freshman Ambica Iyengar (India) won two individual events, the 200 individual medley (2:17.30) and 500 freestyle (5:27.63) against Washington & Jefferson.
