The Baldwin-Wallace College Women's Golf Team Places Fifth at the Wilmington
College Invitational
BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin-Wallace College women’s golf team placed fifth of nine teams at the 2005 Wilmington College Fall Invitational Tournament today (September 18, 2005). The women posted an 18-hole total of 371 strokes at the Majestic Springs Golf Course (Par- 71-5827 yards). This is the second tournament for the women this season.
Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets was sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Molly Scheetz (Canton/ Perry) who fired an 18-hole total of 86 strokes placing sixth individually. Following Molly Scheetz was freshman Lydia Cole (East Canton) who carded a 91. Seniors Emily Scheetz (Canton/Perry) posted 96 strokes and Lauren Buckner (Westlake) carded 98 strokes. Junior All-OAC player Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Indiana/ Our Lady of Providence) and freshman Simone Short (Toledo/ Whitmer) posted 99 and 100 strokes. Senior Lauren Kushner (Baldwinsvile, N.Y./ Baldwinsville) rounded out the tournament in an individual position with 112 strokes.
The Yellow Jacket women’s golf team will be back in action when they play at the Ohio Northern University Invitational on September 25 at the Colonial Hills Golf Course.
