The Baldwin-Wallace College Women's Golf Team Currently Stands in Fifth Place

After First Day of Purple and White Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women’s golf team is currently fifth of 11 teamsafter te first day of the Capital University Purple and White Invitational at the Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne, Ohio.

The Yellow Jackets totalled 396 strokes while St. Mary's (Ind.) College is currently in forst place with 360 strokes. Otterbein College is tied second with Ohio Northern University at 374 strokes. Wilmington College is fourth with a 395 followed by B-W to round out the top five.

B-W was led by jumior All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Ind./ Our Lady of Providence) with a score of 95. Sophomore All-OAC player Molly Scheetz (Canton/ Perry) along with freshman Lydia Cole (East Canton) each fired a round of 99. Senior All-OAC player Lauren Buckner (Westlake/ Senior) had a round of 103 and freshman Simone Short (Toledo) carded a 109.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action tomorrow (Saturday, Apr. 1) with the final of the Purple and White Invitational at the Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne.
