B-W Women's Golf Team Finishes in 21st Place at the Northern Illinois Tourney in Tampa, Fla.
BEREA, OHIO --
The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf teamfinished in 21st at the Northern Illinois University Snowbird Intercollegiate Women's Golf Tournament at the Pebblecreek Golf and Country Club in Tampa, Florida.On the first day, freshman Lauren Buckner (Westlake High School) led the Yellow Jackets by carding a 92 on the par-72, 5,940-yard Pebblecreek layout. Buckner was followed by freshman Emily Scheetz (Massillon Perry) with a 102, freshman Jessica Graham (Avon Lake H.S.) with a 112 and senior Jessica Lawson (Akron/ Richfield Revere H.S.) with a 142.
On the second day, Scheetz led the way as she fired an 18-hole total of 99 strokes. She was followed by Buckner with a 101, Graham with a 119 and Lawson with a 132.
The Yellow Jackets will return to Berea on Saturday evening. B-W will begin northern play on April 4-5 when it travels to Columbus to compete at the Capital University Invitational Tournament.
