The Women's Golf Team Placed 2nd at the Ohio Northern University Invitational
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team placed second of seven teams at the one-day, 18-hole 2004 Ohio Northern University Invitational at the Colonial Golfers Club in Harrod, Ohio. To view all of today's results, please click here.
The Yellow Jackets carded a one-day team total of 384 strokes and stood second overall behind OAC rival Otterbein College.
Individually for the Yellow Jackets, freshman Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Ind./ Our Lady of Providence) carded 91 strokes to finish fifth individually on the par-72, 6,169-yard Colonial Golfers Club layout. Hacker was closely followed by sophomore Emily Scheetz (Canton/Perry) with 92 strokes placing her seventh overall. In addition, sophomore All-OAC player Lauren Buckner (Westlake) carded 100 strokes to tie for 15th place. Freshmen Tara Wetherelt (Stockton, Calif./ Franklin) carded 101 strokes placing her 18th and Kylee Ehinger (Roanoke, Ind./ Bishop Luers) carded 104 strokes placing her 23rd overall. Junior Sarah Todd (Seneca, Pa./Cranberry) placed 34th overall with 119 strokes.
The individual medalist for the tournament was Tangy Shell from Wilmington College who carded 85 strokes.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action on April 17 and when they participate in the annual Mount Union College Invitational in Alliance, Ohio.
