The Baldwin-Wallace College Women's Golf Team Places Second at the Yellow
Jacket Fall Invitational at Mallard Creek
BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin-Wallace College women’s golf team placed second of eight teams at the 2005 Yellow Jacket Fall Invitational Tournament today (September 11, 2005). The women posted an 18-hole total of 359 strokes at the Mallard Creek Golf Club (5,802-yards; par-72) in Columbia Station, Ohio.
Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets was sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Molly Scheetz (Canton/ Perry) who fired an 18-hole total of 84 strokes to place third individually. Following Molly Scheetz was her older sister, senior All-OAC player Emily Scheetz (Canton/Perry), who carded an 89 strokes to place ninth individually. Junior All-OAC player Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Indiana/ Our Lady of Providence) was third on the team with a 91, freshman Simone Short (Toledo/ Whitmer) was fourth with a 95 and senior All-OAC player Lauren Buckner (Westlake) rounded out the sub-100-stroke scorers with a 99. In addition, freshman Lydia Cole (East Canton) carded a 100 and junior Lauren Kushner (Baldwinsville, N.Y./ Baldwinsville) had a 119.
The Yellow Jacket women’s golf team will be back in action when they play at the Wilmington College Invitational on Sunday, September 18.
