Women's Golf Team Began Season Ranked in the Top-25
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team began the 2003 season ranked 25th in the country in the National Golf Coaches Association Pre-Season Poll.
The Yellow Jackets have played in three tournaments so far this year and freshman Tara Wetherelt (Stockton, Ca./Franklin) leads the team with an 87.00 stroke average including a best round of 83 at the John Spiess Memorial Tournament.
Fellow freshman Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Ind./Our Lady of Providence) is second on the team with an 89.25 stroke average and a best round of 88 that she shot during the John Speiss Tournament. Kelly Gallaway (Ashland/Senior) rounds out the top three B-W women's golfers with a stroke average of 92.5 including a best round of 91 which she shot at the Grand Valley State Invitational.
