The Baldwin-Wallace College Women's Golf Team Places Third at the 2004 Ohio
Athletic Conference Championships
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team placed third of eight teams at the 2004 Ohio Athletic Conference Golf Championships (April 29-30) hosted by Capital University at the Little Turtle Country Club in Westerville, Ohio. The Yellow Jackets carded a two-day team total of 783 strokes on the par-72, 5,900-yard Little Turtle Country Club layout placing third behind OAC rivals Otterbein College with 761 strokes and Wilmington College with 777 strokes.
Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets, was Freshman Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Ind./ Our Lady of Providence) ts with a two-day total of 188 strokes (97-91) placing her fifth over all. Following Hacker, was freshman Tara Wetherelt (Stockton, Calif./ Franklin) with 189 strokes (95-94) placing her sixth over all. For their efforts, both Hacker and Wetherelt earned All-OAC honors (Top 10 finishers).
In addition to Hacker and Wetherelt, sophomores Lauren Buckner (Westlake) had 202 (96-106) strokes to place 15th and Emily Scheetz (Massillon Perry) had 207 strokes (102-105) and placed 19th overall. Freshman Kylee Ehinger (Roanoke, Ind./Bishop Luers) rounded out the Yellow Jacket squad with 212 strokes (99-113) and tied for 22nd.
