The Baldwin-Wallace College Women's Golf Team Wins the Rain-Shortened B-W
Invitational at Pine Hills
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team finished in first place of 10 teams in the rain-shortened 18-hole B-W Invitational Tournament at the Pine Hills Golf Course in Hinckley, Ohio. To view all of the final results, please click here.
The Yellow Jackets carded a 359-stroke team total on the par-72, 5,685-yard Pine Hills layout. B-W was followwed in the top five by Ohio Athletic Conference rivals Wilmington College (368), Mt. Union College (372), Ohio Northern University (375) and Otterbein College (376). It also marked the second straight tournament title for B-W this spring and the fifth overall in 2003-2004.
Individually for the Yellow Jackets, freshman Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Ind./ Our Lady of Providence) led the way with an 88 and was followed by freshman Kylee Ehinger (Roanoke, Ind./ Bishop Luers) with an 89, sophomore Lauren Buckner (Westlake) with a 90, freshman Tara Wetherelt (Stockton, Calif./ Franklin) with a 92 and sophomore Emily Scheetz (Massillon Perry) with a 95. Also playing as individuals were senior Lindsay Light (Ft. Wayne, Ind./ Concordia Lutheran) with a 93, freshman Kelly Gallaway (Ashland Senior) with a 96 and junior Sarah Todd (Seneca, Pa./ Cranberry) with a 113.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action this weekend when they will play in the 2004 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament on Thursday and Friday, April 29-30 at the Little Turtle Golf Course in Columbus.
