Yellow Jacket Women Place a Strong Second at the Yellow Jacket Fall Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team finished second of six teams today at the Yellow Jacket Invitational at the par 72, 5805 yard, Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville, Ohio.

St. Mary's College of Indiana won the team title with 348 strokes.  B-W was second with 397 strokes. Stefanie Simmerman from St. Mary's was the individual medalist champion with a score of 81 strokes.

The Yellow Jacket women were led by freshman Emily Scheetz (Canton Perry H.S.) with an 85, placing her 3rd overall. She was followed by Lauren Buckner (Westlake High School) with a 100, junior Lindsay Light (Ft. Wayne, Indiana/ Concordia Lutheran H.S.) with a 102, freshman Jessica Graham (Avon Lake H.S.) with a 110 and sophomore Sarah Todd (Seneca, Pa.) with a 120. In addition, sophomore Trisha Douglas (Geneva) and senior Jessica Lawson (Akron) participated in the tournament.

The Yellow Jackets will next play at the Manchester (Ind.) College Invitational on October Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6.
