Women's Golf Team Finishes Seventh at the Manchester (Ind.) Tournament
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team shot a 812 two-day team total total and finished seventh of 11 schools at the Manchester (Ind.) Invitational at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Indiana. The Jackets’ 812 strokes was only one stroke out of fifth place.
The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman Emily Scheetz (Canton/Jackson High School), who carded a 36-hole total of 186 strokes to place eighth individually out of 55 golfers on the par-71, 5,812-yard Honeywell layout. Scheetz was followed by freshman Lauren Buckner (Westlake H.S.) with a 199, junior Lindsay Light (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran H.S.) tallied 203 strokes, sophomore Sarah Todd (Seneca, Pa./Cranberry H.S.) had 226 strokes and freshman Jessica Graham (Avon Lake H.S.) shot a 232.
Franklin College of Indiana was the team champion with 717 strokes and beat second place Transylvania University of Kentucky by 31 strokes. See the team results below.
HOW THEY FINISHED: 1.Franklin 717; 2. Transylvania 748; 3. Tri-State University 761; 4. Aquinas College 796; 5. (tie) Manchester College 811; Anderson (Ind.) College 811; 7. Baldwin-Wallace 812; 8. Hanover (Ind.) College 839; 9. Rose-Hulman 879; 10. Bluffton College 927; and 11. Mount St. Joseph College 1021.
This concludes the Yellow Jackets fall season.
