Yellow Jacket Women place second at the Capital University Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished 2nd of four teams at the Capital University Invitational at the par 72, 5788 yard, Willows Golf Course in Columbus.

Otterbein College won the title with 395 strokes and BW was second with 409 strokes. Tangy Shell from Wilmington College was the individual medalist champion with 83 strokes.

The Yellow Jacket women were led by freshman Emily Scheetz (Canton Perry H.S.) with a 93 placing her third overall, followed by Lauren Buckner (Westlake High School) with a 95 placing her fourth overall. Sophomore Sarah Todd (Seneca, Pa.) shot a 109, junior Lindsay Light (Ft. Wayne, Indiana/ Concordia Lutheran H.S.) shot a 112, freshman Jessica Graham (Avon Lake H.S.) with a 121.

The Yellow Jackets will next play at their home tournament on Sunday, September 29th at the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville, Ohio. The first tee off time is at 1 pm.

Wilmington and Capital did not have enough players to participate as a team.
