The Women's Golf Team Places Third at the OAC Championships; Buckner and Scheetz Earn All-OAC Honors
BEREA, OHIO — The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team tied for third place at the 2003 Ohio Athletic Conference Golf Championships hosted by John Carroll University. The yellow jackets shot a two-day total of 808 (406-402) at the par 72, 6018-yard Fowler's Mill Golf Course in Chesterland, Ohio.
Freshman Lauren Buckner (Westlake) led the way for the yellow jackets by earning All-OAC Honors by placing 9th overall. Buckner shot a 92 on the first day and a 95 on the second day for a two-day total of 187.
Following Buckner was freshmen Emily Scheetz (Massillon Perry), who also earned All-OAC Honors, tied for 10th place with a two-day total of 191 (95-95). Karissa Kusick (Chicora, Pa./ Karns City) placed 19th with a two-day total of 214 (112-102). Freshmen Jessica Graham (Avon Lake) and Sophomore Sarah Todd (Seneca, Pa.) both tied for 23rd place with a two-day total of 220 (108-112).
The individual medalist champion was Julie Huffman from Capital University with a two-day total of 175 (88-87).
