Scheetz Finishes Fourth to Lead B-W Women Golfer to Seventh Place Finish at Wittenberg Invitational
BEREA, OHIO —Baldwin-Wallace College senior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Molly Scheetz (Canton/Perry) fired an 84 to finish fourth and lead the women’s golf team to an seventh place finish at the Wittenberg University Invitational at Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield, Ohio.
The Yellow Jackets carded a total of 392 strokes. In addtion to Scheetz, senior Karli Townsend (Malvern) fired a 95 to finish tied for 25th, junior Lydia Cole (East Canton) carded a 103 to finish tied for 45th, junior Simone Short (Toledo/Whitmer) carded a 110 to finish tied for 56th and freshman Sam Migalski (Monahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) carded a 112 to finish tied for 60th. Freshman Nicole Carlone (Canton/St. Thomas Aquinas) played as an individual and finished tied for 60th after carding a 112.
Otterbein won the team championship with a 329 and the Cardinal's Catherine Brunoehler won individual medalist honors after carding a 79.
The Yellow Jackets will return to the links tomorrow when they play in the Denison University Invitational at Granville Golf Club in Granville.
