Baldwin-Wallace Women's Golf Team Finishes Fifth at the Wilmington Invitational
BEREA, OHIO — The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team carded a total of 353 strokes and finished fifth at the Wilmington College Invitational today (Sunday, April 20, 2008) at Majestic Springs Golf Club in Wilmington, Ohio.
The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Lydia Cole (East Canton) who fired an 83 and finished tied for 10th. In addition to Cole, senior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conferece player Molly Scheetz (Canton/Perry) and freshman Sam Migalski (Monahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) each had an 88 to finish tied for 23rd, senior Karli Townsend (Malvern) carded a 94 to finish tied for 27th and senior Shelly McKinney (Malvern) had a 102 to finish tied for 35th.
Otterbein College won the team trophy with a 308 and the Cardinals' Catherine Brunoehler won individual medalist honors with a 73.
The Yellow Jackets will compete in the OAC Championship next Saturday and Sunday (April 26-27) hosted by Ohio Northern University at the Colonial Golfers Club in Harrod, Ohio. Action gets underway at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
