Baldwin Wallace Women's Golfers Finish Fifth of 14 at the ONU Invitational
BEREA, OHIO — The Baldwin Wallace University women’s golf team finished fifth of 14 teams at the Ohio Northern University Invitational at the Colonial Golfers' Club in Harrod, Ohio.
The Yellow Jackets carded a total of 386 strokes 6,169, par-72 layout. Individually for BW, senior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Molly Scheetz (Canton/ Perry) led the way by carding an 89 to finish tied for 10th. She was followed by senior Karli Townsend (Malvern) fired a 98 to finish tied for 32nd, junior Simon Short (Toledo/Whitmer) carded a 99 to finishtied for 37th, senior Shelly McKinney (Malvern) carded a 100 to finish tied for 41st and junior Lydia Cole (East Canton) carded a 103 to finish tied for 47th. Freshman Nicole Carlone (Canton/St. Thomas Aquinas) played as an individual and finished 77th after carding a 128.
The Yellow Jackets will return to Berea and begin to prepare to play at the Wittenberg University Tournament on Tuesday, April 15 at Windy Knolls Golf Club in Springfield, Ohio.
