Scheetz Wins Medalist Honors and Baldwin-Wallace Women Golfers Finish Third at Denison Invite
Molly Scheetz wins medalist honors
after posting an 86 at the Denison Invite.
BEREA, OHIO —Baldwin-Wallace College senior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Molly Scheetz (Canton/Perry) fired an 86 to win medalist honors and led the women's golf team to a third place finish today (Wednesday, April 16, 2008) at the Denison University Invitational at Granville Golf Course in Granville, Ohio.
The Yellow Jackets carded a total of 403 strokes. In addtion to Scheetz, junior Lydia Cole (East Canton) fired a 98 to finish tied for 10th, junior Simone Short (Toledo/Whitmer) carded a 105 to finish 15th and senior Shelly McKinney (Malvern) carded a 114 to finish 21st.
Ohio Northern University won the team championship with a 363 and Denison was second with a 399.
The Yellow Jackets will return to the links on Saturday (April 20) when they play in the Wilmington College Invitational at Majestic Springs Golf Course in Wilmington, Ohio.
