The Baldwin-Wallace College Women’s Golf Team Finishes Fourth at the Wilmington Tournament
The Yellow Jackets carded a then season-low total of 349 strokes on the first day of the tourney and bettered that total by one stroke and break from a first day tie with the host school to place fourth.
B-W was led by junior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Molly Scheetz (Canton/ Perry) as she fired rounds of 79 and then a season-low 77 to carded a two-day total of 156 strokes and finish as the tourney runner-up. Scheetz was followed by two-time All-OAC player Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Indiana/ Our Lady of Providence) with rounds of 87 and a season-low-tying 85 for a 172-stroke total to tie for 16th overall. The remainder of the team is as follows: sophomore Lydia Cole (East Canton) had 178 strokes to tie for 22nd, junior Shelly McKinney (Malvern) had 195 strokes to place 35th, junior Karli Townsend (Malvern) had 196 strokes to place 36th and sophomore Simone Short (Toledo/ Whitmer) had 204 strokes to tie for 38th.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, April 28 when they travel to Centerburg to participate in the OAC Tournament at the Table Rock Golf Club on the 28th and 29th.
