Baldwin-Wallace College Women's Golf Team Finishes Third at Wilmington Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team placed third of six teams at the Wilmington College Fall Invitational at the Majestic Springs Golf Club in Wilmington, Ohio.

The Yellow Jackets totalled 378 strokes and were 15 strokes shy of first place Wilmington College. B-W was led by junior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Molly Scheetz (Canton/ Perry) who carded a 11-over-par 82 on the par-71 and 5,827-yard Majestic Springs layout. Scheetz placed third individually and has finished in the top-three in all three tournaments as she finished second at the B-W Invitational two weeks ago and third at the Ohio Northern University Invitational last week.

Following Scheetz for the Yellow Jackets was senior three-time All-OAC player Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Ind./ Our Lady of Providence) with an 87, sophomore Lydia Cole (East Canton) with a 100, sophomore Simone Short (Toledo/ Whitmer) shot 104, junior Rochelle McKinney (Mt. Vernon) had a 109 and junior Karli Townsend (Mt. Vernon) carded a 114.

The Yellow Jacket women will be back in action next Sunday, Oct. 8 when they travel to Centerburg, Ohio to participate in the Otterbein College Fall Invitational at the Table Rock Golf Club.  Tee times are to be announced later in the week.
