Yellow Jacket Women's Golf Team Placed Second at the Wilmington College Invitational
BEREA, OHIO - The Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team finished in second place of seven teams at the Wilmington College Invitational (September 19). They shot a total of 362 strokes for 18-holes at the at the Majestic Springs Golf Course (Par 71; 5,872-yards) in Wilmington, Ohio. Click here for complete results.
Leading the way for the yellow jackets, was junior Lauren Buckner (Westlake), placing 6th out of 42 golfers, posted 88 strokes. Sophomores Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Ind./ Our Lady of Providence) shot an 89 placing 8th overall and Kelly Gallaway (Ashland/ Senior) shot a 90 placing 11th overall. Freshman Molly Sheetz (Canton/ Jackson) carded 95 strokes finishing 19th overall and senior Mary Farrell (Middleburg Heights/ Parma Holy Name) shot a 98 placing 22nd overall.
The individual medalist for the tournament was Julie Huffman from Capital University with 81 strokes.
The Yellow Jackets will play again at the Baldwin-Wallace College Invitational on September 26.
