Academic Excellence: Baldwin Wallace University sophomore golfer Rebecca Jones is a Chemistry major and Biology and Math double minor whose career ambition is to become a pharmacist. Rebecca is a member of the BUZZ Student Ambassadors, CKI and is on the Dance Marathon Committee. 2011-2012 NOTES: Rebecca is playing in her second season of golf and is a member of one of the best Division III programs in the country. She ended her Fall season with a 88.75 stroke average for five tournaments and eight rounds of 18 holes. Rebecca shot a career-best round of 80 on the second day of the Wittenberg University "Clash at the Clouse" Invitational in Springfield, Ohio on Sunday, October 9. 2010-2011 Notes: As a freshman in 2010-2011, Rebecca competed in her first season of golf and earned her first varsity letter. She helped lead the Yellow Jackets golf team to the 2010-11 Ohio Athletic Conference title and an NCAA Division III National Tournament berth. She shot a season-best 84 on the first day of the University of Mount Union Invitational. She placed 19th individually (89+92) for a two-day total of 181 at the 2010-2011 OAC Championship. Rebecca was a third-team All-OAC Selection. In the Spring, she had a 91.33 stroke average. During the 2010 Fall season, she shot a season-best 84 on the second day of the Mercyhurst Invitational (Pa.). Rebecca ended the season with the fifth best stroke average on the team at 90.18 for 12 tournaments and 22 rounds of 18 holes. |
