Academic Excellence:  Baldwin Wallace University junior golfer Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) carries a strong GPA above 3.5 in Education and earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference and was a candidate for CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District IV At-Large honors. She is a member of the Dean's List, Alpha Lambda honor society, and is a Jacket Scholar. In addition, Rebecca is a member of Students Ambassadors. She would like to become a high school teacher and a coach.

2011-12 NOTES:    Rebecca is playing her third season of varsity golf and is a member of one of the best NCAA Division III programs in the country. She ended her 2011 Fall season with the fourth best stroke average on the team at 88.75. Her best round of the season was an 84 on the first day of the St. Mary's (Ind.) O'Brien National Invitational Tournament at Warren Golf Course. She earned OAC Women's Golfer of the Week honors on March 12 when she fired an 85 to tie for first individually to help the Yellow Jackets win the SUNY-Cortland Spring Break Tri-Match on the Par-72 Norman Course at the Barefoot Landing Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She earned her second OAC Women's Golfer of the Week honor on April 23 as she earned medalist honors and led the Yellow Jackets to the team title at the Trine (Ind.University Spring Invitational. Kapusta carded a career and team low 77 (39-38) on the 72-par Zollner Golf Course.

2010-2011 Notes:    Rebecca helped to lead the BW women's golf team to the 2010-2011 OAC title and an NCAA Division III National Tournament berth. Rebecca earned second-team All-OAC honors, her second All-OAC award. She placed sixth individually at the 2011 University of Mount Union Invitational, including a career-low-tying round of 81 on the second day to help BW win the tournament. Rebecca helped the Yellow Jackets to win five tournaments in 2010-2011. She tied for fourth place individually when BW came back from a 17-stroke deficit to capture the 2011 OAC Championship.  During the 2010 Fall season, she had a career-low-tying round of 81 on the first day of the Wittenberg University Fall Invitational Tournament. Rebecca ended the season with a 87.50 stroke average for 12 tournaments and 22 rounds of 18 holes.

2009-10 Notes:    As a freshman in 2009-10, Rebecca played her first season of golf and earned her first varsity letter. She posted her best round of 85 on the second day of The 2009-2010 OAC Tournament where she placed 14th individually (94+85=179) to earn All-OAC honors. In 2009-2010 Rebecca had a 96.3 stroke average in 10 tournaments and 18 rounds.
