Women's Golf

Academic Excellence:  Baldwin-Wallace College sophomore women's golfing standout Miranda Cunningham is a chemistry major whose career ambition is to become an optometrist.

2011-12 NOTES:   Miranda is playing her second season of varsity golf and is a member of one of the best NCAA Division III programs in the country. She is considered the number two player in the Yellow Jacket lineup. She ended her 2011 Fall season with the second best stroke average on the team at 86.13. She shot a career-best round of 80 on the first day of the annual Heidelberg University Fall Invitational Tournament at the Mohawk Golf Club in Tiffin, Ohio on Saturday, September 24 helping the Yellow Jackets to win the Tournament. She beat out fellow sophomore golfer, Emilee Woolf (Ravenna) in a playoff to earn medalist honors at the Heidelberg Tournament.

2010-11 Notes:   As a freshman in 2010-11, Miranda played her first season of golf and earned her first varsity letter. She helped to lead the B-W women's golf team to the 2010-11 Ohio Athletic Conference title and an NCAA Division III National Tournament berth. Miranda earned second-team All-OAC honors. She tied for fourth individually at the 2011 OAC Tournament, including a round of 81 on the second day when B-W came back from a 17-stroke deficit to win the title. Miranda helped the Yellow Jackets win five tournaments in 2010-11. During the 2010 Fall season, Miranda had a season-best 82 on the first day of the Wittenberg University "Clash at the Clouse" Tournament in Springfield, Ohio. Miranda ended the season with 87.32 stroke average for 12 tournaments and 22 rounds of 18 holes.
