Women's Golf

Academic Excellence:   Baldwin-Wallace College sophomore women's golfer Sarah Allred (Akron/ Green) is a biochemistry major whose career ambition is to work in the medical research field.

2011-2012 NOTES:  Sarah competed in her second season of golf. Sarah had her best two-day round total at the Wittenberg University Invitational in Springfield, Ohio. Sarah shot a 92 the first day and shot a 85 on the second day giving her a two-day total of 177. In the Spring, Sarah competed in five tournaments and in eight total rounds and averaged 89.88 strokes per round. She shot a career-tying-low 82 on the second day of the Mount Union Invitational where she also posted a career-best two round score of 170 (88+82).

2010-11 Notes:  As a freshman in 2010-2011, Sarah played her first season of golf and earned her first varsity letter. During the 2011 Spring season, she shot a season-low 86 on the second day of the University of Mount Union Tournament at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance. In the Spring, Sarah averaged 94.86 strokes per round. During the 2010 Fall Season, she competed in all six tournaments and shot a career-low 82 on the first day of the B-W Tournament at the Sweetbriar Golf Club in Avon Lake. She competed in 10 total tournaments and in 17 rounds of 18 holes for the 2011 Ohio Athletic Conference champion Yellow Jackets who compiled an 83-18 overall record and won five tournaments, including the OAC title. B-W competed at the 2011 NCAA Division III National Tournament, but only five student-athletes per school qualified for the tournament. Sarah ended the 2010-2011 season with a 93.59 stroke average.
