Hacker and Scheetz Named to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team
BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University womenıs golfers, graduate Sarah Hacker (New Albany, Ind./Our Lady of Providence) and rising senior Molly Scheetz (Canton/Perry) have been named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar Team.
The NGCA recognized 368 Division I, II, III womenıs collegiate golfers with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative grade point average is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent (Division I) or 66 percent (Division II and III) of the collegeıs regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
Hacker ended her career with three of the Top-24 seasonal strokes averages in school history. She earned All-Ohio Athletic conference honors four times and Academic All-OAC accolades three straight years. She was also an All-American Scholar Team member in 2005-2006. Sarah had a 92.86 career stroke average with a best round of 84 on the first day of the 2005 OAC Tournament.
Sheetz, after just three seasons as a Yellow Jacket is a three-time All-OAC player, a two-time Academic All-OAC selection and owns the school single-season record for stroke average at 83.88 in the Spring of 2007.
Molly was also an All-American Scholar Team member in 2005-2006.
The BW womenıs golf team opens the 2007-2008 season on Sunday, September 16, when they host the 18-hole Yellow Jacket Invitational.
