The Baldwin-Wallace College women's basketball team travels to Alliance, Ohio and will play Ohio Athletic Conference rival Mount Union College on Wednesday, December 5 in the Timken Physical Education Building at 7:30 p.m. This is the second OAC regular season game for each team.
RADIO -- All Yellow Jacket women's basketball games, home and away, are broadcast by campus radio station WBWC, 88.3 FM, and via the WBWC Internet Web site at www.wbwc.com. The pregame show generally begins at least 15 minutes prior to tipoff.

The Pregame Setup -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's basketball team will look to get back on the winning track when it travels to Alliance to play arch-rival Mt. Union in its second OAC game of the season.
The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a 5-1 overall and 0-1 OAC record following a 72-64 overtime loss against Capital University on Saturday in Berea. The loss snapped a season-opening five-game winning streak.
The Purple Raiders have a 3-2 overall and 1-0 OAC record following their 57-51 victory at Muskingum College on December 1 in New Concord. Mt. Union has won two straight games.
The B-W Versus Mount All-Time Series -- B-W and Mount Union have previously met 66 times in women's basketball with the all-time series tied, 33-33. The Yellow Jackets have won nine nine of the last 10 meetings, including a 68-52 decision in Berea on January, 24 2007. B-W also beat the Purple Raiders, 77-52, in the first meeting last season on December 6, 2006 in Alliance. Mt. Union won the last meeting of the season on February 20, 2007 in Berea by the score of 65-61 in the OAC Tournament. The first time B-W and Mt. Union met was in 1964-1965 and B-W won, 39-36.
In Last Year's First B-W vs. Mount Union Game -- Baldwin-Wallace-- 77, Mount Union-- 52-- In the first of two regular season meetings between B-W and Mt. Union, on Dec. 6, 2006 in the Timken PE Building in Alliance, B-W defeated Mt. Union, 77-52. Leading the way to victory for B-W was 5'8" senior forward Stacia Shrider (Marietta/ Warren Local) with 15 points. In addition, 5'10" senior forward Carly Flowers (North Baltimore) had 14 points and nine rebounds and graduated Academic All-OAC guard Steffani Jaworski came off the bench to score 10 points. No Mt. Union player scored in double figures. B-W led by 20 points at halftime and cruised to the win.
In Last Year's Second B-W vs. Mount Union Game-- Baldwin-Wallace -- 68, Mount Union -- 52 -- In the second of two regular season meetings between B-W and Mt. Union, on Jan. 24, 2007 in the Ursprung Gymnasium in Berea, B-W defeated Mt. Union, 68-52, for its ninth straight win versus the Purple Raiders. Leading the way to victory for B-W was 5'8" junior two-time All-OAC guard Amanda Mondrach (Parma/ Parma Heights Holy Name) with a seasonhigh 20 points. In addition, 5'6" junior guard Jessica Butzer (Orrville) , who is currently injured, scored 10 points.
In B-W's Final Game Last Year versus Mount Union College-- Mount Union -- 65, Baldwin-Wallace -- 61 -- In the final meeting of the season, a 65-61 Mt. Union win on Feb. 20, 2007 in the first round of the OAC Tournament, junior center Alicia Williams scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds as Mt. Union upset B-W in the Ursprung Gym. Carly Flowers lead B-W with 16 points.
B-W Information and Probable Starters -- Look for Coach Harrer to start Amanda Mondrach and 5'6" junior Rachael Quiring (Brunswick/ Holy Name) in the backcourt along with 5'8'' senior Selena Eskinazi-Budge (Beachwood). On the inside, look for 5'8" senior Stacia Shrider(Marietta/Warren Local) to play forward and 6'2" sophomore Ariel Brough (Powell/ Olentangy Liberty) to start at center. To date, Eskinazi-Budge tops the team in scoring at 10.5 points per game. She also grabs 6.2 rebounds per game and tops the team with 12 steals. Mondrach is second with 8.3 ppg. and six three-pointers and grabs 2.8 rpg. Brough scores 7.3 ppg., grabs 4.3 rpg. and has a team-leading 10 blocked shots. Quiring scores 6.8 ppg., is first with 14 assists and second with 11 steals. Shrider scores 2.7 ppg. and grabs a teamleading 6.7 rpg.
Off the bench, look for Harrer to use Carly Flowers , 5'10" sophomore transfer forward Sasha Samara (Amherst/ Steele), 5'10" sophomore forward Serena Farage (Medina/ Buckeye), 5'9" freshman guard Amanda Schroeder and 5'7" freshman guards and twin sisters Carrie and Courtney Ritzler (Fostoria/ Hopewell-Loudon). Flowers, who led B-W in scoring a year ago, is third so far this season at 7.7 ppg. She also grabs 4.7 rpg. Shroeder scores 6.2 ppg. Courtney Ritzler scores6.0 ppg. and leads the team with eight three-pointers.
In B-W's Last Game versus Capital University in Berea: Capital -- 72, Baldwin-Wallace-- 64 in Overtime -- In B-W's last game, a 72-64 overtime loss to OAC rival Capital University in its opener on Saturday, Dec. 1 in Berea, the Yellow Jackets could not hold onto a 10-point lead with 5:55 remaining in regulation. Despite the loss, Selena Eskinazi-Budge led the way for B-W with a season-high 18 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots.
Scouting the Mount Union Purple Raiders -- Look for Head Coach Suzy Venet to start 5'6" senior point guard Ellie Geiger, 5'9" senior forward Ashley Ross, 6'1" center Alicia Williams, 5'4" sophomore Haley Drayer and 5'7" sophomore guard Tessa Pohovey. Drayer tops the team in scoring at 14.5 ppg. and grabs 3.5 rpg. and tops the team with seven triples. Williams is second at 11.6 ppg., grabs 7.2 rpg. and has a team-leading six blocked shots. Pohovey is scoring 8.8 ppg., grabs 5.6 rpg. Ross scores 3.6 ppg. and leads the team with 8.4 rpg. Geiger is scoring 4.8 ppg. and has seven assists.
Off the bench, look for Coach Venet to play 5'3" freshman guard Krista Johnson, 5'5" senior guard Dana Gerenyi, 5'8" sophomore guard Brielle Sautter, 5'5" freshman guard Katie Crider and 5'11" junior forward Steph Schwartz. Johnson scores 4.8 ppg.
In Mount Union's Last Game At Muskingum College in New Concord: Mount Union -- 57, Muskingum-- 51 -- In Mount Union's Last Game, a 57-51 victory at Muskingum College in New Concord, the Purple Raiders were led by Haley Drayer, who had a game-high-tying 21 points, including three three-pointers. In addition, Alicia Williams had 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for a double-double.

OAC Coaches Poll -- The Yellow Jackets received four first place votes and 71 total points and were picked to finish second by the OAC Coaches in their 2007-2008 preseason poll that was released on Nov. 7.
Cheri Harrer is the Winningest Women's Coach in B-W History -- Yellow Jacket veteran Head Coach Cheri Harrer is the winningest women's basketball coach in B-W history with 351 victories. Harrer is 351-127 in her career.
