BALDWIN-WALLACE COLLEGE INFORMATION:

THE 2011-12 CLYDE LAMB AWARD WINNER:  Baldwin-Wallace College senior dstandout women's basketball student-athlete Catherine Spisak is the school's 2011-12 Female Clyde Lamb Award winner. The award symbolizes the Most Outstanding Female Student-Athlete.

SPORTS PLAYED AT B-W (YEARS AND LETTERS WON):   As a senior in 2011-12, Catherine played her fourth season of basketball and earned her fourth varsity letter.  She served as a team captain.

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Catherine has an outstanding 3.5 grade point average and earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.

ATHLETIC HONORS:  Catherine finished ninth all-time in school history in rebounding with 620 caroms.  She also served as a team captain as a junior and senior.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION:  Catherine had a solid four-year basketball career.  B-W had a 76-34 record during her four seasons in the Brown & Gold.  She earned four varsity letters, scored 451 career points, ranks ninth all-time in school history with 620 rebounds, passed for 73 assists, made 63 steals and blocked 37 shots.

As a freshman in 2008-2009, Catherine completed her first season of basketball and earned her first letter.  Catherine participated in 10 games and averaging 3.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and had one assist on the year.  Her best game was at Heidelberg where she had 10 points and four rebounds.  She helped B-W to a 22-8 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

As a sophomore in 2009-2010, Catherine competed in her second season of basketball and earned her second varsity letter.  She was a team captain.  She played in all 27 games coming off the bench to help the Yellow Jackets to a 19-8 overall record.  Catherine scored 6.1 points-per-game, was second on the team with 6.6 rebounds-per-game, and had 13 blocks.  Her best game came in a 75-50 win against Muskingum where she had a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds.

As a junior in 2010-2011, Catherine competed in her third year of basketball and strated in 24 games. She averaged 6.2 ppg. and led the team in rebounds with 8.2 rpg. B-W finished 18-8 overall.


As a senior in 2011-12, Catherine was the starting center and earned fourth varsity letter and served as a team captain for the 17-10 overall Yellow Jackets. She averaged 4.0 points and a team-leading 8.4 rebounds per game.

DO YOU BELONG TO ANY OTHER CLUBS OR ORGANIZATIONS AT B-W:  Catherine is a member of the Sport Management Club and has been involved with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for three years, serving as its President in 2011-2012.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED): Catherine played basketball for four years and earned four varsity letters. Catherine also competed in cross country for one year earning one letter and track for one year earning one letter. Catherine was also a cheerleader for three years and earned 3 varsity letters.

HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, SPECIFY SPORT & YEAR: (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT,  ETC.):   As a junior in basketball in 2006-2007, Catherine was a second-team All-Sandusky Bay Conference selection. As a senior in 2007-2008, she first-team All-SBC, first-team All-Northwest District, first-team All-District 6 and honorable mention All-Ohio. Catherine was also voted as the Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic High School Most Valuable Player in both 2007 and 2008 and was a four-year member of the All-SBC Academic Team.
