Baldwin-Wallace College’s Amanda Schroeder Named OAC Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO --  Baldwin-Wallace College women’s basketball standout Amanda Schroeder (Columbus Grove) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Schroeder earned her honor by scoring a career-high 23 points, including B-W’s last 13 in a 68-61 upset of first place Capital University on Jan. 24 in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in Berea. She made six-of-eight shots from the floor for 75 percent, including her only three-pointer, and 10-of-11 foul shots for 90.9%. Schroeder tops B-W in scoring at 13.2 points-per-game this season. 

The B-W women, 12-5 overall and 7-3 in the OAC, will seek a ninth straight victory on Wednesday when the Yellow Jackets travel to Alliance to play Mount Union College at 7:30 p.m. in the Timken P.E. Building. Fans can listen to the game both on campus radio station WBWC, 88.3 FM, and via the Internet at www.wbwc.com.
